After years of navigating church conflicts and broken relationships, Church Renewal International (CRI) mentoring and tools equipped Marco and Cristela Del Bosque to bring healing, unity, and spiritual maturity to their church.
Marco and Cristela Del Bosque, pastors at Casa Amistad Church in Grand Prairie, Texas
Fifteen years into pastoring at Casa Amistad, Marco and Cristela were discouraged by the lack of spiritual growth in their church. On top of the responsibilities of ministry, the couple found themselves exhausted from dealing with conflicts in marriages, families, and even church ministries.
As they went through mentoring, Marco and Cristela realized that they needed tools and systems to guide believers to a mature Christian faith. They began by running Hearing God seminars and Prayer Summits (monthly corporate prayer meetings) to build a stronger prayer culture in their church. Marco and Cristela had preached on prayer many times in the past, but thanks to these tools, the church learned how to actively practice prayer. This brought a new sense of unity as congregants from different ages and spiritual walks gathered each month to pray and hear God’s voice together.
Believers at Casa Amistad confess and pray at the cross during a Set Free! Retreat
Another transformative tool was the Set Free! Retreat. Church members learned to confess their sins with one another and deal with past hurts, resulting in fewer conflicts for Marco and Cristela to resolve. Not only that, but as believers at Casa Amistad found healing, their changed lives drew other hurting families into the church.
Marco and Cristela are grateful for the tools and support they have received from CRI. They are now paying this forward by volunteering to mentor pastors across Central America in these life- and church-changing practices.
Ask God to guide pastors in CRI mentoring as they bring vital renewal practices like confession, inner healing, and hearing God into their churches.
