This month, CRI launched its latest tool for pastors: The Things to Come Conference. Written by Ray Duerksen, this three-day event condenses 2,000 hours of study and 375 pages of pastors’ study notes on End Times and eternity into a clear, simple and practical format. Ray taught it for the first time at Southland Church on March 7-9, with over 700 in attendance — including many youth and young adults.

The Things to Come Conference was incredibly impacting…I would say life-changing. I used to be pretty apathetic towards learning about the end times, saying “Well, it’s not a salvation issue and he’ll come when he comes. I’ll prepare for the worst and hope for the best.” This conference totally shifted my perspective. I hadn’t realized how much the Bible really says about the end. If Jesus cared so much to talk about it that much, I want (NEED) to care about it! This conference demystified so much for me, and the Lord is using all the content to spur me on to live with an urgent, eternal perspective. I want to go through the course and content many times over! Phenomenal.

I honestly wasn’t excited about the idea of Jesus coming back and had hoped he would come after my time on earth was up. But after participating in the Things to Come Conference, I am excited about Jesus coming back and I would be so honoured to be alive on the earth when he does. The Bible teaching throughout the conference brought so much clarity to what’s coming and in what order…what seemed strange and confusing now seems familiar, easy to understand at a fundamental level, and awe-inspiring. I think every believer should experience a Things to Come Conference.
