On their recent trip across India, Church Renewal International (CRI) Directors Joshua and Febe Pantoja travelled thousands of kilometres — often in secret due to persecution — experiencing God’s strength, protection, and abundant fruit.
They conducted four Set Free! Retreats, where over 300 pastors and church leaders attended. From these retreats, 152 committed to weekly mentoring! The Holy Spirit moved powerfully, breaking chains of unforgiveness, bitterness, and hidden sin. Here are just a few of their testimonies.
I attended the meeting with much pain and a heart of hatred. But at the start of the retreat, I heard the Holy Spirit speaking directly to me that I need to change my attitudes and behaviours. Though my family and I are doing ministry, I held on to hatred and unforgiveness. This retreat helped me come out from all of these sins and be released from the bondage of past experiences and generational sins. Now I am set free and able to forgive others. Thanks for your valuable contribution to making my ministry fruitful.
In this Set Free Retreat, God challenged me to forgive others. I’ve been very hurt by my school staff and could never find it in my heart to forgive them. But in this retreat, I was able to release forgiveness to them! The Holy Spirit has released me from my bitterness. In this retreat, the Holy Spirit also reminded me of the time when I participated in Hindu worship because my position in school compelled me to do it. Today, I have asked God to deliver me from that foothold in my life.
I never realized that it is a sin for pastors to be angry with other pastors and church members! I have not forgiven many of these people, but today I have started forgiving them by calling them and sending text messages to them.
Humbled by the rebuke of the Holy Spirit, I was able to confess my hidden sins to others, which I have never done before. I very much appreciated this retreat because we didn’t just learn things cerebrally, we were very practical in applying what we’ve learned.
Pray for the 152 new mentoring participants: For workable schedules, understanding, obedience, and anointed leadership for the coordinators.
