Using TheWay, Obed Muñoz discipled his congregation to grow in their love and passion for Jesus. This change was so significant that their unbelieving neighbours came to Christ and were also discipled.

When Obed joined CRI mentoring, he was desperately praying for guidance in overcoming the spiritual apathy he saw in his church, Centro De Fe Angulo in Guadalajara, Mexico. In his second year, Obed was introduced to TheWay as a tool for discipling his church. He began by taking his staff through the Abide module and saw the Lord transform how his staff prayed and read Scripture.

After seeing TheWay’s effectiveness, Obed knew he needed to introduce this tool to the rest of his church. He sensed in prayer to start by discipling the new believers and church members. These believers soon grew in their passion for Jesus, leading other church members to join a second TheWay group in hopes of experiencing the same renewal.

Discipled believers lead their neighbours to Jesus

Incredibly, TheWay’s impact also went beyond Obed’s church. As more believers were discipled, they gathered weekly with their families to discuss topics from their lessons. The family gatherings gained a reputation in the community. Unbelieving neighbours took notice and were so impacted by the church members’ testimonies, they came to Christ and were also discipled using TheWay.

Today, over half of Centro De Fe Angulo's congregants have been discipled using TheWay, including the new believers from the community. Because the church members were discipled, their transformed lives allowed them to witness and minister to others.
